COMMERCIAL SERVICES ASSISTANT

Mary I Students? Union (MISU) is the representative body of the
students of Mary Immaculate College (MIC). Mary I Students? Union
(MISU), through the MISU Commercial Services DAC, run an on-campus
shop on the Limerick campus of MIC as well as an online store,
shop.misu.ie

We are recruiting for a Commercial Services Assistant to work in our
on-campus shop.

THE ROLE

The Commercial Services Assistant is a front-line role with MISU
Commercial Services DAC and is responsible for delivering a
high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.

This is a fixed term contract with MISU Commercial Services DAC which
will run from Thursday, 1st September to Friday, **Apply on the

on the website**rd January **Apply on the website** to Friday, **Apply
on the website**th May **Apply on the website**. These dates are in
line with the College?s academic year and staff are not paid when
the shop is closed, i.e., outside of term-time.

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday, **Apply on the
website**.**Apply on the website**pm to 6.**Apply on the website**pm
and Friday **Apply on the website**.**Apply on the website**am to
4.**Apply on the website**pm, however flexibility with regards to
working hours may be required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

* Respond to and assisting with customer queries.
* Maintain the highest standard of customer service and
professionalism.
* Ensure familiarity with current promotions and new stock
* Operate the ePOS till system.
* Handle cash and balance cash at the end of a shift, and in line
with MISU Cash Handling Procedures.
* Work as part of a team, assisting team members as required.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum of 2 years? experience working in a retail environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong
interpersonal skills
* Strong Customer Service Skills
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive
professional attitude
* Ability to work as part of a team and work on own initiative
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload
* A familiarity of and interest in the Students? Union
* Flexibility regarding working hours

SALARY

The starting salary for the position is ?**Apply on the

ABOUT MISU

MISU provides support, advice and representation for its members, the
students of MIC who are based across two campuses, one in Limerick and
one in Thurles.

Representation, Advocacy & Leadership is the core of what we do. The
student body is represented by a democratically elected Executive
Committee who deliver the Representation, Advocacy & Leadership
function of MISU with the day-to-day representational activities
overseen by the elected Full-time Officers (Sabbatical Officers)
?the MISU President and the Vice-President/Academic Officer.

The Union?s Services (including Commercial Services), Operations,
Finance and Administrative Functions are overseen by the General
Manager who is supported by a team of dedicated staff. MISU also
supports and co-ordinates Clubs & Societies? administration and
activities.
